Alex Smith is a managing partner of Tabak Business Sales in Auckland and is also a founder and director of TBK Capital. Alex has over 20 years’ experience ranging from travel and tourism, financial services, consulting and professional services. Alex has successfully facilitated and completed projects across a wide range of industry sectors valued between $250k to $15m plus. He has also been involved in numerous market viability studies and new enterprise and product launches including finance companies, import and distribution ventures, and health and nutrition businesses. Alex holds a BA (Hons), a Bachelor of Business Studies and is licensed under REAA 2008.

Jonathan Barrett

Associate and Chartered Accountant

Jonathan Barrett is an Associate and a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years' experience in New Zealand and overseas.  Jonathan's background includes the sale of numerous businesses across a variety of sectors, as well as providing advice to company directors and their accountants and lawyers.  He has considerable experience in forensic accounting and critically reviewing company accounts and projections.  Jonathan has written several published articles, and given various presentations to accountants on technical issues.  Jonathan holds a B.Com in Accounting and a BA in History from the University of Auckland. Jonathan is licensed under REAA 2008.

Associate and Chartered Accountant

Andrew Larsen is an Associate and a Chartered Accountant with 29 years' experience in New Zealand, the US and Europe.  Andrew’s background includes over 8 years’ experience in Chartered Accounting firms as well as a corporate financial role in a transport group for 3 years. Furthermore, Andrew’s experience includes the ownership of a business for 16 years employing 35 staff and a turnover in excess of $9 million per annum.  He has a particular interest in the valuation of businesses and business strategy.  Andrew holds a B.Com from the University of Auckland and is licensed under REAA 2008.
